You may not have heard of Charlie Rogers but, in his day, he was considered the second best banjoist after Vess Ossman.
Loved the podcast Hal. I especially appreciated hearing Charlie Rogers play The Favorite March, as that’s one that I play too (but not nearly as well). Listening to young Charlie play you get an appreciation for how strong is right hand fingers are, and how cleanly he plays his triplets. The whole production is entirely delightful. Thank you.
